Steamboat Software is an independent software studio founded by Larry Luke. The company was imagined on a chairlift at Steamboat Ski Resort, with a simple idea: build a fully decentralized software company on cloud-scale infrastructure that could be run from anywhere.
Today a small, ultra-agile team combines sound software architecture, cloud platforms and AI to ship polished mobile apps for iOS and Android. Every app follows the same Ultra-Private standard: no ads, no data harvesting, and no selling of user information. The studio’s apps are HeyGroop, a group-decision app; KinectedCare, a privacy-first family caregiving app; and MapMend, a travel companion shipping soon.
